Owning a head spa is one thing. Running it to professional standard is another.
A head spa is a specialist treatment environment, and your hygiene regime needs to be just as specialist.
At Japanese Head Spa Co., we have developed a structured 3-part Hygiene Regime specifically for head spa equipment and treatment environments. Our system is designed to support professional hygiene practices while helping protect the equipment that sits at the heart of every treatment.
Our alcohol-free, antimicrobial formulations are developed specifically with ultrasonic head spa systems in mind, helping to eliminate bacteria and viruses while being suitable for use within the circulation system and around sensitive internal components, seals and pipework.
Because generic household or salon disinfectants are not necessarily formulated for head spa systems and may not be suitable for use within specialist equipment.
THIS IS NOT JUST CLEANING. This is controlled hygiene management.
A professional head spa requires a consistent cleaning routine — not simply a quick rinse between clients. Our 3-part system provides a structured approach to help you maintain your equipment throughout the working day, at the end of each treatment session and as part of your deeper routine maintenance.
OUR 3-PART HYGIENE PROTOCOL
01 — BETWEEN CLIENT TREATMENTS The essential routine carried out between every client to help maintain a clean treatment environment and prepare your head spa for its next use:-

PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT DESERVES PROFESSIONAL CARE.
Your head spa is a significant investment — and the products you put through it matter.
Using a structured cleaning regime from the very beginning can help you maintain your equipment, support consistent hygiene standards and give your clients confidence that every treatment is delivered with care and professionalism.
Don’t just clean your head spa. Follow a professional Hygiene Regime.
Japanese Head Spa Co. — Professional Head Spa Training, Products & Equipment.
Your head spa’s filtration system is designed to help capture hair, skin, product residue and other debris before it can travel further into the drainage system.
Our Yellow & Blue Filter System provides an additional layer of physical protection inside the filter housing — creating a double-up filtration barrier to help reduce the amount of unwanted debris making its way towards the plug and drainage system.
A SIMPLE STEP THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.
During a head spa treatment, water can carry loose hair, scalp debris, oils and product residue towards the drain. Our dual-filter approach provides an extra line of defence, helping to catch what shouldn’t be travelling further through your system.
Yellow Filters & Blue Filters = Designed to give a Double Filtration Protection
Used as part of your regular head spa maintenance routine, the filters help support cleaner drainage, reduce the build-up of unwanted debris and protect the wider plumbing and drainage system.
PART OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL HYGIENE REGIME
The filters are not a replacement for your regular cleaning and disinfection protocol — they are an additional protective layer that works alongside it.
For the best results, filters should be checked regularly, cleaned and replaced (weekly) as appropriate, and incorporated into your routine head spa maintenance schedule.
Clean the system. Filter the debris. Protect the plug.
