This Hybrid Head Spa can be optionally Plumbed in to be able to use the shower head function, however if your workspace is small or doesnt have a water supply this unit works as a free standing unit (without the use of the showerhead) as the halo itself is sufficient enough to wash all product out of the hair, this is exactly like our white head spa but without the tank (the tank on a white head spa is used solely to service the shower head) both our Black Hybrid Plumbed/Non Plumbed Unit and our White 60L Tank Non Plumbed Unit work in the same way to cycle the water to the halo by pulling water from the basin through a filter by a water pump that pushes the water through a water heater that comes back out into the basin via the Halo, regular checks of the filters and pumps are essential to keeping your unit in top condition and ensuring that hair and debry are not moving into the water pump or heater causing these elements to stop working. Ideally these full bed units need to be plumbed in, in order to use the showerhead, however, it can also be used without plumbing as the halo provides enough water pressure to rinse through hair without the need of a shower head (its down to ease of work space being able to be plumbed in and preference)
We strongly recommend getting in touch with a qualified plumber prior to ordering, and ONLY recommend a plumber installs the head spa bed.
Japanese Head Spa Co is not responsible for installation, nor if the bed has been installed incorrectly (this may effect your warranty if not installed by a qualified plumber.)
